Evensong Choir

Our Evensong Choir will sing at the Evensong services outlined below and will rehearse twice a month directly after the 10am Sunday service.  This choir is primarily a ministry for our middle school and high school aged students, as well as adults who are not usually available to rehearse weekly with our Chapel Choir.  Since the most of the Evensong service is sung (see “What is Evensong?” below), each level and age of singer can be accommodated, including any adults that would like to sing with us.

What is Evensong?

The Service of Evensong is a contemplative evening prayer service.  These Evensong services, which are traditionally led by a group of singers, with the congregation participating throughout in thoughtful prayer, are structured to allow the music to soothe us and to draw us closer to the presence of God.
