Entries for Feb. 8 - Feb. 14, 2021 (Celebrating Feast of St. Valentine)

2/12/2021

Due to a forecast of freezing rain, I played it safe and didn’t go to the church to run the recording system. I extracted all the audio tracks from the Facebook Live recording of the 9 AM morning prayer service.
The placement of the extended iPhone microphone for the Facebook Live recording in front of one of the sound system has resulted in audio that is much cleaner and adequate for the spoken portions of the service.

Music was provided by UCONN student and St. Mark’s scholar Angela Garcia-Clark (singer) and Charles Houmard (piano, organ).
Recorded tracks:

●  Prelude: Lord God, Open Wide Thy Heaven

●  Greeting, Announcements (Rev. Brian Blayer)

●  First Hymn: O Love, How Deep, How Broad, How High

●  Lesson 1: Jeremiah 15:15-21 (Bruce Steinway)

●  Lesson 2: Mark 8:34-38 (Bruce Steinway)

●  Homily (Rev. Brian Blayer)

●  Post-Homily Hymn: Get Together

●  Hymn before A Prayer of St. Chrysostom: I Believe

●  Final Hymn: Christ for the World We Sing

●  Postlude: In Peace And Joy I Come

Entries for Feb. 1 - Feb. 7, 2021 (The 5th Sunday after The Epiphany)

Audio Recordings for 02-07-21, the 5th Sunday after The Epiphany
Due to an incoming snowstorm, I played it safe and didn’t go to the church to run the recording system. I extracted the audio from the Facebook Live recording of the 9 AM morning prayer service.
The placement of the extended iPhone microphone for the Facebook Live recording in front of one of the sound system has resulted in audio that is much cleaner and adequate for the spoken portions of the service. There is a lack of balance between the organ and the soloist that I can correct with the multi-track recording system.

Recorded tracks:
  1. Greeting, Announcements (Rev. Brian Blayer)
  2. Lesson 1:Isaiah 40:21-31 (Sue Gagnon)
  3. Lesson 2: Mark 1:29-39 (Sue Gagnon)
  4. Homily (Rev. Brian Blayer)
