The audio cuts for St. Mark's Chapel's 10 am service on 08-11-19, the 9th Sunday after Pentecost. My apologies for the change in the quality of the sound in the latter part of the sermon. The priest’s microphone had died, so I had to play with various editing effects to salvage the recorded tracks from the wall-mounted microphones. Recorded tracks: Opening Greeting, Review Announcements (Rev. Brian Blayer) 1st Reading: Isaiah 26:1-8 (Sudie Evageliou) 2nd Reading: James 2:5-9, 12-17 (Sudie Evageliou) Gospel: Matthew 10:32-42 (Rev. Brian Blayer) Sermon (Rev. Brian Blayer)

ZEN BUDDHISM AND CHRISTIANITY Part Two August 21st • Wednesday • 6:30 PM At St. Mark’s Episcopal Chapel Please join us for part two of our presentation about the insights gained through the inter-faith dialogue between Christian theologians and Buddhist teachers. On the first night (August 7th), we covered an overview of the basic concepts of Buddhism and explain how Christians such as Merton, Steindl-Rast and Knitter have found similarities to Christian contemplative (apophatic) traditions. During part two, on August 21st, we’ll begin with a question and answer period, followed by an experience of Buddhist meditation, zazen, and a walking meditation, kinhin.
