Kids

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.”– Psalm 100

We love our children!

Our 10:00am Sunday worship service is designed to be family-friendly. If you have little ones, please don’t feel that you have to keep them absolutely still and quiet for the entire service. We know what kids are like, and we delight to have them worship with us. To help make the worship experience easier for parents:

  • Stuffed animals and play packets are available at the front entrance of the church
  • Nursery care is offered every week during the 10:00 service
  • Sunday School is offered at the 10:00 service during the school year to allow children to hear and engage with the same readings that the adults do in the service, although in a more child-friendly way,
  • Sunday School takes place during the first half of our 10:00 service (when we do the readings and have the sermon), with children rejoining us for communion
  • Because children and adults are engaging with the same readings every week, you can always talk with your children about what you each did and learned during church.

Please also feel free to come and go as needed with your child during the service.  For parents who want easy access to restrooms and space for little legs to roam outdoors, it is generally safest to sit close to the front entrance of the church.

Our ushers – the people who greet you as you enter – or anyone in the congregation will always be happy to point you to the nursery or Sunday School rooms, help your child pick a stuffed animal and play packet, and give you a sense of what to expect in the service.
