We teach our children the meaning of our worship traditions and offer them appropriate opportunities to help make music and even assist in leading worship. At our family-oriented 10:00 service, children often serve as trained acolytes – leading our procession, lighting and extinguishing the candles, and assisting the priest. If you would like to learn more about the possibility of your child becoming an acolyte or reader, please email our administrator, Linda Austen-Small.
We believe that an appreciation of music and the arts helps kids connect with the creative work of God.
Youth Music Ministry is for our Preschool to 12th grade youth, where we learn the basic building blocks of music and singing techniques. More information here.
Our annual Christmas Pageant engages children of all ages in telling the story of Jesus’ birth, combining training in music performance with the fun of a group pageant. Many volunteers in our congregation – from seamstresses to music teachers – offer their professional skills to help the children create a pageant that is both enjoyable and a source of pride for our children. All children in the local area are invited to participate in the pageant, with rehearsals begin the first week of November.
