MUSIC & THE ARTS IN THE CHAPEL
Our church has a vibrant artistic heritage. From visual arts projects to community concerts, we celebrate God’s gift of creativity and invite others to join us. We seek to support the artistic development of UConn students, many of whom serve in the St. Mark’s choir or simply find our community a welcoming place to share their artisitic passion and talents. The centerpiece of our music is our Choral Scholars program, which provides scholarships to UConn music students who sing with us regularly.
Throughout the year, our church offers UConn students, faculty, and staff an opportunity to learn and grow in the performance of sacred music through joining our choir, and sometimes as guest soloists and performers.
A wide range of musical groups use our chapel free of charge for concerts, shows, and other events.
We also organize occasional educational workshops, events, and singalongs that invite all to expand their musical horizons while sharing the love of music. See our calendar for upcoming events.
