A CHAPEL RIGHT ON UCONN'S CAMPUS
St. Mark’s is a vibrant mix of town and gown – from long-time local residents; to students, faculty, and staff at the University of Connecticut (UConn); to many people who have no affiliation with the University at all.
Our church was built in 1955 as a gift to the Episcopal Church in Connecticut with the express purpose of creating a worshipping community and spiritual home at the University of Connecticut. We live out that purpose today as St. Mark’s seeks to share and promote the arts on campus, provide avenues for global engagement, promote the justice and dignity of people of all genders and sexualities, foster an environment of civil dialogue around controversial issues, and collaborate with our neighboring faith communities to share the rich diversity of our traditions.
